What’s In A Name? Keynote at University of Pittsburgh

UCIS IW LEGAL NAMES POSTER 2021.jpeg

“To change or not change my name? What does that mean in your daily life, how is it seen by others, how does the transitionary legal process deal with something that is very personal and core to a person's identity? How does this change from person to person and across our varying other identities?”

Join us for an exciting International Week 2021 event in the Frick Fine Arts Building on Monday, October 4th from 6-8PM EST for a discussion on Legal Names and the LGBTQIA+ Experience with featured speaker Rosalynne Montoya (she/they), followed by a panel discussion with Rosalynne and other experts on the legal process, public policy, and personal experiences with name change/name identity. This event is open to all with a Pitt ID and a mask!
